Tumblr I really need your help!!!
My platform sneakers, from the now defunct brand Swear Alternative, have huge fissures in the sole! I don’t know is this is from improper storage or what or just a happenstance of huge shoes. The photo is of the right shoe, the left is only beginning to crack.
So what can I do, if anything? Has this happened to anyone else? Do I glue them? Take them to a shoe repair person? Scrap them after Halloween? (that’d be really sad)
I’ve had these for awhile and they’re only for random costumes and such, but they’re so unique I’d hate to have them become unwearable. Please help!

I would definitly invest in a tube of Shoe Goo, it’s really handy to have around. I might try to shoe goo it back together, but a cobbler could likely fix the soles and weatherproof them. Here in New York cobblers are pretty cheap, at least in Chinatown.

Rubber cement & clamp them together to dry. Push the glue all the way into the crack, not just on the outside. Smooth out any extra that bubbles out. Tape off the upper part of shoe and use a rubberized spray paint on the soles to hide the crack 4 looks.
